Service Description
Cultivating A Forgiving Heart with Amalia Phillips A Four-Session Online Workshop Series Mondays March 1, 8, 15 & 22 3:30pm - 6pm PST / 6:30-9pm EST Spending more time at home with family while trying to maintain connection with others in these challenging times may bring an experience of greater intimacy, care, and empathy for some, while for others it may cause added anxiety, tension, and resentment. In trying times, it becomes clearer than ever that we are all wounded, flawed, and messy—including our own selves—and that we can use whatever arises as a tool for growth. Join us for a journey on the path of letting go and forgiving. We believe that in order for forgiveness to take place, the healing must begin inside— only then can it start to reflect outwards and into our life. Forgiveness is both a path and a learnable skill. In this workshop, you will use the 5 core practices of Compassionate Listening as a framework to explore your belief and assumptions about forgiveness and explore necessary steps and useful practices to help you feel safe on your continued journey towards the cultivation of a forgiving heart. This course is for anyone who: Wants to benefit from more compassion, healthier boundaries, and a letting-go of expectations and resentments; Is ready to take greater personal responsibility and shed the stories that keep them disconnected or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them; Is willing to remove the armor of self-protection, and notice where they can create more connection and harmony with the people in their life; Is seeking guidance to gain healing and closure from a negative events and past hurts; Wants to feel lighter, more peaceful, and more ready to live life to its fullest. Prerequisite A prerequisite for this course is some familiarity with Compassionate Listening—ideally an introductory workshop or participation in a delegation. If you haven’t had any of these experiences, please sign up for one of the practice sessions, and consider practicing on your own by purchasing our book, Practicing the Art of Compassionate Listening. Cost The cost for this workshop series is $200.
