Get to Know our Spring 2026 Facilitator Trainees!

We are excited to welcome and introduce the dedicated individuals in this spring’s facilitator training cohort. Each of them brings a unique voice, deep commitment, and a heart for healing to the Compassionate Listening community. From around the world, these trainees are already making a meaningful impact in their communities by sharing the practices of deep listening, empathy, and peacebuilding.

We are honored to have them in our community, and so excited for you to meet them!

Bronwen Henry- Philadelphia, PA

Based in the Philadelphia region, Bronwen Henry is a facilitator, educator, and contemplative artist whose work bridges dialogue, leadership development, and inner transformation. She serves as a Director of Interfaith Philadelphia's Leadership Institute, where she designs and leads programs that equip individuals and institutions to navigate difference with skill, curiosity, and care.

Bronwen has co-created and facilitated curricula for emerging leaders in interfaith engagement. She has designed and led trainings on civil discourse, religious literacy, and navigating difficult conversations, as well as trained facilitators to carry this work into their own communities. She also directs immersive cohort experiences that bring together diverse groups for sustained, experiential learning rooted in relationship-building and reflection.

A trained meditation teacher, Bronwen integrates contemplative practice into her facilitation, helping participants cultivate presence, resilience, and the capacity to remain grounded in moments of tension and uncertainty. Her background in mindfulness informs her approach to leadership development, emphasizing both personal awareness and collective responsibility.

Alongside her non profit work, Bronwen is a visual artist whose paintings explore themes of joy, freedom, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Her work—inspired by the nature—invites viewers into a reflective space, where beauty becomes a doorway to restoration and insight. Through both her teaching and her art, she is committed to helping individuals move toward greater openness, connection, and compassionate action.

Alanna Faust- Berlin, Germany

Alanna is the Operations Manager at The Compassionate Listening Project and is excited to deepen her knowledge and practice of Compassionate Listening through the certification program.

Alanna grew up in the southwestern U.S. and now lives in Berlin, Germany. She holds a master's in Intercultural Conflict Management and brings a deep curiosity about how we relate to one another. Alanna's professional background spans fundraising and event coordination at a complexity science institute, field mentoring in wilderness therapy, whitewater raft guiding, bookkeeping for a home-building company, and analyzing startups for their funding potential. She brings a breadth of skills to her work and is always eager to keep learning.

In addition to being passionate about creative conflict resolution, Alanna is a community organizer with a housing socialization campaign, a (very) amateur urban birder, and a bike path enthusiast. If you ever find yourself in Berlin, please reach out!

Hope Lyon Jinishian- Shelburne Falls, MA

is becoming a Minister of Walking Prayer with the Center for Sacred Studies in May 2027, inspired by the wisdom of the International Council of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. She has served as a Spanish-speaking social worker, supporting children and adults with chronic and life-threatening illness, and studied Conflict Transformation at the SIT Graduate Institute, where she wove sacred circle dances into the curriculum, building community. She wrote her master's thesis on giving back the grace of understanding: forgiveness in the absence of acknowledgement by the perpetrator, in which she interviewed survivors of mass violence and extreme abuse who were on a forgiveness journey.

Hope is a dancer. She loves authentic movement and guides circles of sacred circle dance and dances of Tara. She feels blessed to have received wisdom teachings from many great Buddhist masters who continue to guide and inspire her on the path to growing a compassionate heart.

Hadeel Khateeb- Palestine

My name is Hadeel Al-Khateeb, and I am a graduate of German Language and International Relations. I am from Palestine, with a strong interest in communication, community engagement, and personal development. I strive to create safe and supportive spaces where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves and building relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

I strongly believe in the power of compassionate listening as a tool to foster empathy and understanding, and I aim to apply it in my work with diverse groups. I am continuously developing my skills and aspire to contribute to initiatives that create a positive impact within communities.

We are excited to extend an invitation to individuals who are passionate about fostering Compassionate Listening skills to apply for a spot in our Fall 2026 cohort starting in August.

This program is for leaders and experienced facilitators who want to embrace Compassionate Listening as a skill set and life-long practice, and join an international community of facilitators.  You can learn more about our facilitator certification program by visiting our Facilitator Certification page.

The deadline for applications for the fall cohort is July 31st, 2026. You can apply here.
