About The Event
Heart-to-Heart Talks: A Family-Focused Compassionate Listening One-Session Workshop Facilitated by Amalia Phillips November 18. 10 am - 12:30 pm PST/1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. EST
For many of us, the months of November and December brim with the promise of holidays - a time of joy, celebration, and a chance for deeper intimacy, care, and empathy, Yet, for some, this period marks the onset of the holiday blues - an emotional rollercoaster involving gift shopping, social gatherings and the anticipation of quality family time. These pressures often introduce heightened anxiety, tension, and perhaps even feelings of resentment.
During challenging moments, it becomes unmistakably clear that we are all beautiful humans yet wounded, flawed, and messy and that we can use whatever arises as a tool for growth.
We invite you to join us on a journey down the path of letting go and forgiveness. We hold the belief that true forgiveness must germinate from within - only then can it begin to reflect outward and into our lives.
Forgiveness serves as both a path and a learnable skill. In this workshop, we will explore our beliefs and assumptions about forgiveness and explore necessary steps and useful practices to help you feel safe on your continued journey toward the cultivation of a forgiving heart.
This session is for individuals who:
- Aspire to embrace greater compassion, establish healthy boundaries, and release expectations and resentments;
- are ready to take greater personal responsibility and shed the stories that keep them disconnected or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them;
- Are willing to shed the armor of self-protection, identifying opportunities to nurture connections and harmony with those around them;
- Seek guidance in achieving closure and healing from negative experiences and past wounds.
- Desire a heightened sense of lightness, tranquility, and readiness to seize life to its fullest potential.
Before you come to the session, please go out and find a stone that appeals to you on some level. It can be beautiful or ugly. It shouldn’t be a pebble, nor should it be a boulder. Find a stone with some weight to it. It should be small enough to carry in the palm of your hand and large enough that you won’t lose it and bring it to the session.
