About The Event
This training will be held over 7 consecutive Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:00pmÂ
Starting on February 25; March 3, 10, 17, 14, 31 and April 7
Engage in the personal work of anti-racism while learning Compassionate Listening. We will learn and apply the practices of Compassionate Listening with the study of Robin DiAngelo’s book White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism to explore racism, racial biases, socialization, white solidarity, white supremacy, white fragility and where we go from here. Compassionate Listening aids us in delving into deep reflection and challenging dialogue. Guided by compassion and respect, we’ll learn to listen with the heart, examine our triggers, judgments and perspectives, and speak up from the heart to interrupt racism. Using newly acquired Compassionate Listening skills, we’ll support each other in accessing our inner wisdom where new insights can emerge.
