Increase Courage, Compassion, Resilience and Love  with Yourself and with Others

Compassionate Listening is a practice that reaches deep into the heart of discord or disconnection, teaching people to listen with a different "ear" to those around them. Its powerful tools help transform the energy of conflict into opportunities for understanding, intimacy at home, healthy relations, productive teamwork, and positive action. It is a practice that provides a roadmap to what sages from all ages and cultures have taught: cultivating the wisdom of the heart is the key to real peace "from the inside out."

In this highly experiential Advanced Training workshop, we’ll use dialogue, mindfulness practices and "play" to deepen your experience with transforming the conflicts and judgments that so often arise in everyday life.

Elements include:

* Developing greater capacity to manage triggers

* Finding ways to emerge from the persecutor, rescuer and victim (aka “drama”) triangle 

* Experiencing the power of negative judgments and the impact of healing them from the inside out 

* Delving into the challenge of forgiveness 

* Embracing personal power with heart

On each step of the journey, you’ll integrate more deeply the wisdom of mind, body and spirit in service of the beautiful essence that lives at your core. Explore with us in this laboratory for growth and connection!

This is a 2-1/2 day non-residential workshop. We are happy to announce that we have reached our minimum number of registrations needed to confirm this workshop. Participants coming from out of state are free to purchase their airfare.

**An introductory CL workshop is a prerequisite for this Advanced Training. Our facilitator Joel Berman is offering a 1-day intro in Concord the week before the Advanced, on July 28th, which will satisfy this prerequisite. Advanced Workshop schedule:

Friday: 2:00 - 6:30 pm

Saturday: 9:00 - 6:00, dinner break, then optional evening session

Sunday: 9:00 - 6:00 

Facilitator:

Susan Partnow is a senior trainer with the Compassionate Listening Project. She is co-founder of Conversation Cafe, Let’s Talk America and Global Citizen Journey. She is a former teacher and speech pathologist, author of Everyday Speaking for All Occasions, co-contributor to the book, Practicing the Art of Compassionate Listening, certified mediator, and an organizational development consultant/trainer for over 20 years. She holds an M.A. from Northwestern University.

Cost:

The Advanced Training is offered on a sliding scale of $250 - $500 (no questions asked), according to your ability to pay and your perceived value.

Pre-registration is required with a $100 deposit, which goes toward the total workshop fee. The remainder of the fee is due at the end of the workshop, and can be paid by cash, check or credit card (visa or mastercard).

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel by July 20th, we will return $75. If you cancel on or after July 21st, because we confirm a workshop based on registration numbers, we will return $75 if we fill your seat.
