We are seeking a communications professional who values conflict resolution, peace-building and resiliency skills, and can support us to build strong relationships with community members through social media.
 

ABOUT YOU: You generate clear, accurate, and brand-aligned messaging and can use words and images to tell a compelling story. You are adept at working with Facebook and Instagram publishing tools, Google Suite (including Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Forms), Zoom, and Wix. You have demonstrated experience managing social media accounts, producing written and visual content.

 

This is a 2-5-hour-per-week, remote position.

What we’re looking for:

  • A shared commitment to peace work, nonviolence, and anti-oppression practices

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Strong understanding of social media engagement

  • Creativity and enthusiasm for generating engaging and informative content

  • Professional experience in a relevant field, e.g.social media management, marketing, communications, PR, etc.

  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva and Photoshop is a plus! Video editing skills are a plus!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with TCLP’s mission, culture, programs, history, and offerings.

  • Create and curate engaging and educational video and photo content for our Facebook and Instagram accounts, capturing the voice of the organization and bringing the spirit of Compassionate Listening to our followers’ social media feeds. (Examples may include facilitator spotlights, short interviews, writings and exercises drawn from Compassionate Listening curriculum and materials, and short write-ups about our organization’s historical roots and current programs.)

  • Engage with our online community and respond to comments and requests

  • Use social media best practices to grow our audience and engagement

  • Work with staff to define our overall social media engagement strategy
