A Compassionate Listening Path to Healing
Many people carry within them pain and suffering related to unhealed wounds from war and genocide. World War II and many other racial, religious, and cultural conflicts caused great suffering. If you are holding the wounds of your ancestors or your own direct experience, this workshop offers a space that encourages healing through compassion.
The day’s program will encourage listening and speaking from the heart in a safe and respectful environment under the guidance of skilled facilitators. From our years of experience in Europe and the U.S. addressing the wounds of World War II, we know that war’s countless scars can pass seamlessly from one generation to the next. The healing of these wounds can be a gift of great proportion – to ourselves, those we care about, and the world around us. Join us on this sacred journey of listening and speaking from the heart.

When: Saturday, October 23 from 10am – 5:30pm and Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 10am – 5pm. The second day is optional.
Where: Bainbridge Commons, 370 Brien Drive SE, Bainbridge Island, WA, USA. This is just a short walk from the ferry terminal in Winslow, so participants from the Seattle area do not have to take their cars on the ferry.
Cost: For first day only: $175 – $100 sliding scale; for both days: $350 – $175 sliding scale, according to need.
